Authentic Posts
Everyday content between trend-driven posts
Generate posts that aren't tied to a specific trend. Authentic chit-chat, observations, questions, life updates, hot takes, mini-stories, behind-the-scenes, and recommendations — the everyday content a real influencer mixes between trend-driven posts. Open the Authentic tab inside your synfluencer's content area to get started.
First-time setup — the wizard
The first time you open the Authentic tab you'll see Set up your synfluencer's life. This seeds a life context the archetypes draw from when generating posts.
- 12 facet categories — family, work, food, travel, hobbies, home, pets, health, social, media, learning, and other. We propose roughly one facet per category to start.
- Edit freely — rename any facet, add your own, or delete ones that don't apply. The editor groups facets by category so you can see at a glance what's filled in and what's empty.
- Status per facet — mark each as ongoing, completed, or aspirational. These statuses tell the archetypes which facets are active in your synfluencer's life right now vs. things they used to do or want to do.
The eight archetypes
Each generation picks one archetype and produces a post shaped to it. You can pin a specific archetype or let the system pick based on what's been posted recently.
- chit_chat — casual aside, throwaway observation, low-stakes moment. e.g. “weirdest part of the day so far: zero coffee craving”
- question — open-ended question directed at the audience. e.g. “best 3am thought you've had this week, go”
- observation — noticed-thing or shower thought; no opinion required. e.g. “everyone's making sourdough again and I don't think it's about bread”
- life_update — status on something ongoing in the synfluencer's life. e.g. “shipped the new dashboard, immediately broke the dashboard, classic”
- hot_take — committed opinion or mild contrarian point. e.g. “the new Mission Impossible was fine. that's the take.”
- mini_story — 2–3 sentence anecdote from the synfluencer's life. e.g. “told the kids the broccoli was tiny trees…”
- behind_the_scenes — process detail from work, a project, or a hobby. Prefers project feed content when feeds are configured (see below).
- recommendation — “you should try X” style post. Requires a real referenced item; the system draws from facets and cultural pulse to find concrete things to recommend.
Cultural pulse
To keep posts feeling current, the system fetches a cultural pulse — trending movies, TV shows, memes, pop culture moments, food trends, niche-specific drops, and headline news — via web search.
- Lazy refresh — the pulse refreshes automatically the first time you generate posts each day, if the cached pulse is more than 24 hours old. You won't see a separate step; it happens in the background before the first generation of the session.
- Manual refresh — click the Cultural pulse chip at the top of the tab to force a refresh at any time. Useful if something broke in the last few hours that you want the posts to reference.
- Cost estimate — the estimate shown in the UI is derived from your actual recent ledger, not a hardcoded range. If you haven't run a cultural pulse refresh yet, the dialog will say so rather than showing a made-up number.
Project feeds (optional)
For product-tied synfluencers, you can connect public changelog or release feeds so the behind_the_scenes archetype references real work details instead of inventing them.
- Supported sources — changelog URLs, RSS feeds, GitHub Releases, and public Notion pages.
- Preference order — when project feed content is available, the behind_the_scenes archetype uses it over invented work details from the life facets.
- Feed errors — if a feed URL goes stale or returns an error, that error is visible in the Edit narrative modal next to the feed. Fix the URL or remove the feed from there.
Editing narrative + facets later
After the initial setup you can update the life context at any time. Click the Edit narrative link at the top of the Authentic tab to open the same modal in edit mode.
- Manual edits to the narrative arc are preserved between saves. The post-pick LLM update can overwrite them — manual-preserve is a planned v2 enhancement.
- Reset narrative arc only — re-derives the arc from your current facets without touching the facets themselves. Use this when you've edited facets and want the arc to reflect them.
- Reset full life state — wipes everything (facets + arc) and forces the setup wizard to run again. Use this if the synfluencer's context needs a complete overhaul.
Cost expectations
The first time you use Authentic Posts is the most expensive session. The cold-start work includes bootstrapping the life context, fetching the cultural pulse, pulling any project feeds, generating the first batch of posts, and running QC audits on each one. Subsequent sessions are cheaper — the life context and narrative arc are cached, and most pulse refreshes are cache hits.
Every dollar figure shown in the UI is read from your actual recent ledger. The cost dialog for a manual pulse refresh will show the average cost of your last few refreshes, not an estimate someone typed in. If you haven't run the operation before, the dialog will say so.
